Walmart Wins In Mexico Bribery Lawsuit

February 27, 2017: 12:00 AM EST
A U.S. District Judge recently dismissed a lawsuit accusing Walmart of committing fraud against shareholders of its Walmart de Mexico unit. According to the ruling, holders of the Mexican unit's American depository shares cannot claim that former Wal-Mex Chairman Ernesto Vega and CEO Scot Rank knew or failed their duty for not knowing about the bribery allegations against the company. The judge also ruled against shareholder claims that the defendants were liable for the executives' activity. [ Image credit: © Kalificado Wikimedia ]
