Walmart Reveals Its Expectations For Near Future

Walmart executives explained to investors its strategic and financial goals over the next couple of years, including continued momentum in the U.S., solid growth in Mexico and Canada, a “sharpened focus” in China, and continued spending on e-commerce. The company reaffirmed its profit guidance for fiscal 2017 of $4.29 to $4.49 per share. The company expects profit per share to be flat in fiscal 2018 compared to 2017, approximately $4.15 to $4.35. It expects to spend $11 billion on capital investment during fiscal 2018.
