Walmart Promotes McKenna To COO

Walmart promoted chief development officer Judith McKenna to chief operating officer for the U.S., succeeding Gisel Ruiz. She will continue to report directly to CEO Greg Foran. Ruiz is the new executive vice president of the International people division. McKenna joined Walmart in the U.K. 20 years ago as CFO and COO.  As COO, Ruiz oversaw the opening of 400 new U.S. stores, and increased representation of women and people of color across operations leadership roles at the company.
