Walgreens Boots Alliance Appoints Gourlay And Barra As Co-Chief Operating Officers

Walgreens Boots Alliance announced the appointment of Alex Gourlay, executive vice president of Walgreens Boots Alliance and president of Walgreens, and Ornella Barra, EVP of Walgreens Boots Alliance and president and chief executive of global wholesale and international retail, as co-chief operating officers. According to the company, the appointments are aimed at improving focus and collaboration, and further improve the management of global operations. Also, the company said Simon Roberts, EVP of Walgreens Boots Alliance and president of Boots, will leave the company in July 2016.
