Wal-Mart Spent $10.5 Billion On IT In 2015, IDC Says

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. spent more than $10.5 billion on information technology in 2015, according to International Data Corp. Data from the market research firm revealed the top 10 IT spenders together accounted for about $53.7 billion, an increase from $45.3 billion in 2014. Wal-Mart’s expansion of its e-commerce capabilities drove its IT spending for the year. By the end of 2017, the retailer plans to spend $2 billion on e-commerce.
