Wal-Mart Posts Slight Revenue Growth In Q2 Of FY 2017

Wal-Mart reported total revenue grew 0.5 percent to $120.9 billion in the second half of fiscal 2017, compared with the same quarter in the previous year. Total revenue, on a constant currency basis, grew 2.8 percent to $123.6 billion, the company said. U.S. operations posted 1.6 percent growth in comp sales, helped by the seventh consecutive quarter of traffic growth. According to the company, its Neighborhood Market business saw an increase in comp sales of about 6.5 percent. Walmart International posted net sales of $28.6 billion. Without currency impact, net sales rose 2.2 percent to $31.3 billion, compared with the same period in the previous year.
