Wal-Mart Charges Suppliers For Stocking And Warehousing Inventory

Wal-Mart Stores said it will impose charges on all suppliers for stocking their products in new stores and for warehousing inventory. Suppliers have been informed of the move, which is part of Wal-Mart's efforts to control costs following wage hikes for its employees. Marking a shift in Wal-Mart's relationship with suppliers, the changes will affect 10,000 suppliers to its stores in the United States.
