Tesco Says UK Sales Improve Slightly, Gains More Customers

Tesco reported like-for-like sales in the UK grew 1.3 percent for the quarter ending May 30, 2015, compared with the same period in the previous year. In terms of volume, like-for-like sales in the country rose 1.4 percent, with transactions going up 1.3 percent. According to the company, it gained 180,000 more shoppers during the report period. Also, the company reported like-for-like sales growth in Central Europe and Turkey.
