Tesco Names John Allan As New Chairman

UK retailer Tesco announced the appointment of John Allan as chairman of the company's board of directors effective on March 1, 2015. Allan will succeed Richard Broadbent who has earlier announced his intention to step down as chairman. Allan said he will resign as member of the boards of directors of Dixons Carphone and Royal Mail. Also, he will resign effective immediately as a senior advisor to Alix Partners and as chairman of the DHL UK Foundation.
