Target Unveils Planned Store-Opening Spree For 2015

Target Corp. announced plans to open 15 stores in 2015. Aimed at reaching consumers in highly urbanized areas, Target's expansion moves will include opening eight TargetExpress retail stores, one CityTarget, and six general merchandise stores. Also, the retailer said it will offer shopper “new experiences, merchandising layouts, and innovations” with its general merchandise format. At present, Target is operating one TargetExpress store in Minneapolis. Target said it plans to open two more such stores in Washington, D.C., and one in Chicago.
