Target Tests Updated Cartwheel Mobile Loyalty App In Several Markets

September 13, 2016: 12:00 AM EST
Target is conducting a pilot study of a revised version of its Cartwheel mobile loyalty program. Aimed at expanding the program's focus on points-based rewards, the changes allow shoppers to earn 10 points per dollar they spend in-store and pick from different rewards earned upon reaching specified thresholds. With the testing being done in the St. Louis, Denver, San Diego, and Houston markets, Cartwheel lets shoppers earn Perks points by scanning their Cartwheel bar code at checkout.
