Target Posts Stronger Comparable Sales In 4Q And Full Year 2015

Target said comparable sales grew 1.9 percent, driven by traffic growth of 1.3 percent, in the fourth quarter of 2015, compared with the same quarter in the previous year. Sales through the company’s digital channel jumped 34 percent, accounting for 1.3 percentage points of the increase in comparable sales. For the full-year 2015, Target said comparable sales rose 2.1 percent, while comparable traffic increased 1.3 percent and adjusted EPS increased 11.3 percent to $4.69. In 2015, the company returned $4.8 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases.
