Target Hires Tesco IT Chief As CIO

Former Tesco (U.K.) chief information officer (CIO) Mike McNamara is the new CIO at Target Corporation, the company announced. McNamara, who replaces Bob DeRodes, will report to Chairman and CEO Brian Cornell. McNamara will manage the company’s technology team and operations, including information security, and will help shape enterprise strategy. McNamara is credited with modernizing Tesco’s IT and supply chain worldwide. He helped introduce innovative in-store technologies such as “scan-as-you-shop” capabilities. He also launched the company’s innovation lab.
