Ranir Returns Wal-Mart Toothbrush Head Production Back From China

June 16, 2015: 12:00 AM EST
Ranir is moving production of store-brand toothbrush heads from China to its headquarters in Michigan, following a request by Wal-Mart. As part of its compliance with Wal-Mart's American-made requirements, Ranir will invest $3 million to expand its high-tech manufacturing facility by 7,500 square feet and hire 19 employees. Almost three years into its “Made in the USA” initiative, Wal-Mart is pushing for a return to the country of offshore manufacturing of products it sells at its stores.
