Ohio Coffee Company Envisions Profitable Synergy With Local Bakery

A Cleveland, Ohio-based coffee retailer is partnering with a local bakery to enhance its coffee business by offering pies and other pastries and baked goods. The treats – eventually to include biscuits with jam, muffins, and cookies – from Humble Pie Baking will be made and sold at first only at one of Rising Star Coffee Roasters’ four locations beginning in 2016. But the partnership is likely to expand along with Rising Star itself, which was founded in 2010 and is growing quickly with the help of local partnerships and a focus on the community.
