Latina Consumers Spend More On Cosmetics In 2014, Outspend Other Demographics, Study Shows

Latinas spent 7.4 percent more on cosmetics in 2014, according to a study by the “Simpre Mujer” magazine. Data from the “Siempre Beauty III: Latinas and Social Media,” by the magazine's publisher Meredith Hispanic Media, revealed overall market retail purchases declined 1.2 percent during the same period. At present, the total beauty market is valued at $4.3 billion, with Latinas accounting for 13 percent of all cosmetics spending. Also, according to the study, millennials were the largest growth factor for the beauty category.
