Kroger Names Four New Executive VPs

Kroger has appointed four executive vice presidents to manage merchandising, retail operations, information technology (IT) and finance.  Mike Donnelly (57) will head up merchandising, Chris Hjelm (54) is the new chief information officer, Fred Morganthall (64) will run retail operations and Mike Schlotman (57) is the new chief financial officer. The company also announced that the current head of retail operations, Geoff Covert (64), is retiring after nearly 20 years with Kroger.
