Gen Z Consumers Bringing Good Tidings For Retailers In 2016 Holiday, Survey Reveals

October 11, 2016: 12:00 AM EST
Gen Z consumers, or those born after 1996, prefer to shop in-store, according to PwC's Holiday Shopping survey. Although Gen Z shoppers do not have the purchasing power of older consumers, there are 86 million of them. Retailers need to keep in mind that for Gen Z consumers, shopping is a social experience and they like to go to stores with family and friends. Also, these consumers prefer to buy personal electronics, clothes, shoes, and toys, with 58 percent of their holiday-shopping budget for others expected to go to buying tangible gifts.
