Carrefour Receives Government Nod For Dia France Deal

November 21, 2014: 12:00 AM EST
Carrefour's proposed acquisition of supermarket chain Dia France was approved by the country's Competition Authority. Coming after a constructive dialogue with the government agency, the approval will enable the French retailer to push its multi-format expansion plans in the local retail market. As part of the deal, Carrefour will buy more than 800 Dia France stores.
