March 18, 2016: 12:00 AM EST
Carrefour SA nominated Brazilian billionaire Abilio Diniz to the company’s board of directors, according to his investment company Peninsula Participacoes. Diniz, who is also the French retailer’s fourth-biggest shareholder, owning 5.07 percent of Carrefour through Peninsula, said he plans to review his decision to maintain his stake level. Sealed in December 2014, the Carrefour deal marks Diniz’s return to the retail market.
