Carrefour Competes In Price, Highlights Savings For Consumers

September 16, 2015: 12:00 AM EST
French retailer Carrefour began emphasizing its competitive prices, reminding customers how much they can save by shopping in the company’s hypermarkets. As part of the campaign, Carrefour compares the prices of its customers’ actual shopping baskets with those of a rival store within a 30-kilometer radius. Carrefour’s initiative aims to compete with rival Leclerc, which has been using low-price positioning as a core business strategy.
