Carrefour Announces Plans To Expand Store Network In Africa

French supermarket company Carrefour said it plans to launch a network of new stores in Africa starting in 2016. Part of UAE-based retailer developer Majid Al Futtaim's plan to expand the retailer's operations across the continent, the proposed strategy will start with the launch of the company's first franchised Carrefour store in Kenya. Majid Al Futtaim purchased Carrefour Group in 2013.
