Carrefour Adopts Six Strategies For Growing Business In Spain And France

Retailer Carrefour is growing its business in France and Spain by adopting several strategies, including highlighting local products and its hypermarket-store format. Also, the French retailer is competing directly with discount retailers with its hypermarkets. To attract more consumers, the company is designing its format around the lives of its shoppers, emphasizing its multichannel connections and capability, and promoting frequent customer visits for its smaller stores.
