Asda Hires Lidl's COO As VP Of Supermarkets

UK retailer Asda hired rival Lidl's chief operating officer Chris Walker to become its vice-president of supermarkets. Walker's appointment comes a month after Asda's announcement that its chief executive Andy Clarke is leaving the company after six years of leading the Walmart-owned business. Walmart China chief executive Sean Clarke was named as Andy Clarke's replacement.
