Amazon Introduces No-minimum-order Free Shipping Service

June 3, 2015: 12:00 AM EST
Amazon.com Inc. launched free delivery service for consumers who buy popular, small products from its online store. Available to all customers, including non-members of the online retailer's Amazon Prime program, the free shipping service comes without a minimum-order requirement. Amazon's move is in response to rival eBay Inc.'s marketing efforts aimed at cost-conscious consumers. Covering products that weigh 230 grams or less, and which usually cost less than $10, shipping will take four to eight business days.
